The cost of retrofitting an old blank is about one-third the price of a new stainless steel blank with even greater cost savings for titanium, depending on current metal prices. New Blanks for Starting Sheet and Cathode Production

Limpact manufactures new stainless steel and titanium cathode blanks, custom-built to fit your tankhouse. The hanger bars have explosion-bonded tabs metallurgically welded to them so that the cathode sheets are welded to the hanger bars using a similar-metal weld. Protective plastic edge strips of several designs are also available. Limpact also produces copper mother blanks for older tankhouses. Limpact has over 25 years of experience in copper welding and applies that expertise to this product. |
Cross Rods and Hanger Bars

Limpact manufactures anode cross rods for lead anodes used in both electro-winning tankhouses and in liberator cells. Steel-cored copper cross rods and explosion-bonded hanger bars are custom-manufactured to your specifications. Limpact hanger bars typically have a press-fitted steel core in a copper tube, 3 mm to 4 mm thick, with seal-welded silicon bronze end caps. The solid steel core provides strength and we ensure the cross-sectional area of the copper tube has the same effective current-carrying capacity as a solid copper hanger bar at tankhouse operating currents. Limpact has manufactured hundreds of thousands of hanger bars and can custom-manufacture them to your design. |
