Cathode Head Bars
Limpact cathode head bars help reduce cell house costs by improving electrical efficiency, reducing maintenance and adding longer head bar life. We conduct random, quantitative sample tests on all cathode batches before they leave our factory. Ultrasonic and electrical inspection can also be performed on your custom head bar contact to guarantee a minimum bond interface area.
Cathode Sheets
Quality inspection ensures cathode plates meet the demanding tolerances required to give top performance in the cell house. Limpact guarantees this by setting exacting standards for all raw materials and through the consistent application of our vendor qualification program.

Edge Strips
Limpact can supply and install edge strips in PE, PVC, CPVC or ABS plastic with our cathode assemblies. Strips are attached using a variety of methods to ensure a long life for the product. Limpact will work with you to customize your edge strip requirements.

Complete Cathode Retrofit and Recycling
Limpact can take your spent cathodes, remove the old cathode plate, clean and repair the head bars and weld a new cathode sheet to the old head bar so it can be reused. Old zinc cathodes can be chipped into granules for use in casting low-cost zinc/aluminum alloys. Copper cathodes can be reclaimed in the same way, or alternatively designed stainless steel or titanium cathodes can be refurbished using impact-bonded welding tabs. We're recycling, reusing, and saving you money.

Electrical Transition Joints
Limpact's process of explosion bonding of dissimilar metals allows us to manufacture electrical transition joints that are metallurgically bonded. We create an interface between the dissimilar metals that has no electrical resistance through the bond and creates a weld of high integrity. We are able to bond two and even three dissimilar metals such as copper/aluminum, copper/titanium, steel/aluminum and many more. We have in-house testing facilities that allow us to ultrasonically and electrically test each bond to guarantee a minimum bond area if required. |
